Emily and Jared are looking forward to celebrating the holidays together as a couple, and they prepare to work with their neighbors on Evergreen Lane to make this year's Christmas celebrations the best yet.  When a house on the block goes up for sale, the soon-to-be-neighbors are holiday royalty, but they are so competitive that they nearly ruin Christmas for everyone. Emily, Jared, and the rest of the holiday crew quickly realize that the Johnsons aren't interested in joining in on the fun--they plan to take over. Image:  Tw

About This Blog

Hi, and thanks for visiting my blog!

Like you, I adore Hallmark & Great American Family Christmas movies.  It doesn't matter that each one follows the usual format--two people meet, one is lacking the Christmas spirit, they fall in love, big kiss at the end.

It also doesn't matter that the majority of the movies feature a sleigh, cookie baking, town Christmas tree lighting, ice skating, gingerbread houses, or hot chocolate.

With so many "cookie cutter" movies, with only the title seeming to change, why do we love them so much?

Hallmark & GAF Christmas movies give us hope.  No matter what challenges come your way, a happy ending is available to all of us.

Hallmark & GAF Christmas movies are adult fairy tales.  For those of us who have already married our Prince Charming (or Princess, if you're a guy), these movies help us recapture the thrill of young love.  If you haven't found your match yet, these movies will inspire you to keep following your dreams, trusting your time to find love will soon come.

Hallmark & GAF Christmas movies are festive.  Not only do these movies spotlight all the things we love about Christmas--the lights, decorations, snow, faith, family, music, and gift-giving--they also include themes about putting others first, deliberate generosity, volunteerism, and so much more.

Hallmark & GAF movies relieve stress.  Whether you've had a hard day at work, an argument with a friend, a crying infant, or nothing has seemed to go right all day, you can put on your fuzzy socks, cover up with a cozy blanket, pour a glass of wine, and forget all your troubles as you get caught up in a story about finding love during the holidays.

Whether you DVR them to watch all year or invest in the DVDs, you can keep the Christmas spirit alive in your own heart no matter what month it is.

I hope you enjoy the fun and discussion sparked in this blog--please feel welcome to participate!
