REVIEW: The Hallmark Sequel "Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up" Is as Silly as the First One

Emily and Jared are looking forward to celebrating the holidays together as a couple, and they prepare to work with their neighbors on Evergreen Lane to make this year's Christmas celebrations the best yet.  When a house on the block goes up for sale, the soon-to-be-neighbors are holiday royalty, but they are so competitive that they nearly ruin Christmas for everyone. Starring:   Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky, Ellen Travolta, Melissa Peterman, Seth Morris, and Jennifer Aspen Image:  Hallmark Media Haul Out the Holly:  Lit Up Has a Moral When the residents of Evergreen Lane learn that their new neighbors are the Jolly Johnsons--famous holiday reality stars--they are thrilled to welcome them to the block.  Everyone assumes the Johnsons will fit right in since they share their same affinity for elf culture. Emily, Jared, and the rest of the holiday crew quickly realize that the Johnsons aren't interested in joining in on the fun--they plan to take over. Image:  Tw

Here's the #1 Thing Hallmark Fans are Saying about "Jolly Good Christmas"

Image
Jolly Good Christmas Plot Summary When an architect hires a personal shopper, he finds himself in London in search of the perfect Christmas gift but finds something he wasn't looking for. Starring:  Will Kemp and Reshma Shetty Image:  Hallmark Media The Most Popular Comment Made About "Jolly Good Christmas" Scroll through any social media group to see how Hallmark fans are reacting to Jolly Good Christmas , and you will quickly see the consensus is this:  Will Kemp should not have used an American accent.  To his credit, he sounds quite American, proving his versatility as an actor, though from the way he drawls out the end of his sentences, one might think he perfected his dialect from watching old Westerns starring John Wayne.  I found myself wanting to add "pilgrim" to the end of many of his lines.  My husband, who tries to tune out romcoms when I'm watching them, even piped up with, "Why is that guy slurring his words?" Will Kemp's Britis

Review: "A Kismet Christmas" & a Chance to Share Your Opinion on Sarah Ramos as Leading Lady

Image
A Kismet Christmas Plot Summary   A children's author reconnects with her hometown, family, and teenage crush while confronting a family legend that might actually be true. Starring:  Sarah Ramos and Carlo Marks Image:  Hallmark Media Shining Moments in A Kismet Christmas Carlo Marks is always a wonderful leading man in romcoms, and he's been in several of Hallmark's:  Moonlight in Vermont , Angel Falls:  A Novel Holiday ,  Christmas with the Darlings , and  Making Spirits Bright , along with Chesapeake Shores .  His eyes are always twinkling with warmth, and his smile lights up the screen.  He is witty, charming, and very much the boy-next-door. Moonlight in Vermont is my favorite. The supporting cast in A Kismet Christmas plays an integral part of the story.  Gramma Mia (Marilu Henner) proves age doesn't need to bar a person from doing what they love.  She's selling the house so she can teach abroad.  Gramma Mia has two fun sidekicks, one of whom wants a Kismet c

Here's Why Hallmark's "We Wish You a Married Christmas" Bombs

Image
We Wish You a Married Christmas Plot Summary A couple goes to the quiet town of Gracious to reconnect at Christmas on advice from their marriage coach. Starring:  Marisol Nichols and Kristoffer Polaha Image:  Hallmark Media Only a Few Redeeming Moments in We Wish You a Married Christmas The best part of this movie is its title, a cute twist on a classic Christmas song.   Robby (Polaha) and Becca (Nichols) are a married couple whose careers and busy lives have caused them to lose touch with one another.  They pass like two ships in the night, each seemingly unnoticed by the other.  Robby forgets Becca stopped eating meat, and Becca has no idea Robby took a baking class.  Robby is the lead on their apartment renovation, and he takes none of Becca's suggestions into consideration.  They argue over silly things, like where the microwave should go in the kitchen--trivial matters many couples find relatable. What is sweet is the way Robby and Becca remain willing to acknowledge how they

Here's My Christmas Tree Rating for Hallmark's "Noel Next Door"

Image
Noel Next Door Plot Summary A single mom gets into a war or words with a neighbor who she feels is ruining Christmas, only to find that this misunderstood grouch may just steal her heart. Starring:  Natalie Hall & Corey Sevier Image:  Crown Media There Are Good Morals Shared in  Noel Next Door Noel Next Door is reminiscent of Hallmark movies of Christmases past because it contains virtuous messages hidden beneath the surface which give the story heart and soul without being preachy.  It's a welcome reprieve from the subpar fluff Hallmark has produced since Woke Wonya Lucas seized the reins as CEO. The first moral embedded is about loving people based on their character, not their outward appearance.  When Jeremy (Sevier) reluctantly agrees to go on a blind date with Hailey, it's soon obvious she's embarrassed by him.  When he tries to remove his coat and struggles due to his stroke-affected arm, she's mortified.  To his credit, he has enough self-respect to sever

Hallmark's "Sugar Plum Twist" Has Great Dancing Spiced with Woke Garbage

Image
Sugar Plum Twist Plot Summary Natalia is a professional ballerina whose past injuries have forced her to retire from dancing.  She is hired at an established dance company to work behind the scenes as an assistant choreographer, but she and her boss have different ideas on the production of The Nutcracker . Starring:  Jamie Gray Hyder, Ektor Rivera, and Laura Rosguer Image:  Crown Media What Is the Sugar Plum Twist ? The Nutcracker is a Russian ballet that was introduced in 1892.  The libretto of the ballet is adapted from an 1816 short story called The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E.T.A. Hoffmann.  Although The Nutcracker wasn't originally a success, it gained massive popularity by the 1960's and has become almost synonymous with Christmas.  In fact, American ballet companies generate 40% of their annual ticket revenues from this seasonal production. The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is the most immediately recognizable score from The Nutcracker, and the "twist&
