REVIEW: The Hallmark Sequel "Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up" Is as Silly as the First One

Emily and Jared are looking forward to celebrating the holidays together as a couple, and they prepare to work with their neighbors on Evergreen Lane to make this year's Christmas celebrations the best yet.  When a house on the block goes up for sale, the soon-to-be-neighbors are holiday royalty, but they are so competitive that they nearly ruin Christmas for everyone. Starring:   Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky, Ellen Travolta, Melissa Peterman, Seth Morris, and Jennifer Aspen Image:  Hallmark Media Haul Out the Holly:  Lit Up Has a Moral When the residents of Evergreen Lane learn that their new neighbors are the Jolly Johnsons--famous holiday reality stars--they are thrilled to welcome them to the block.  Everyone assumes the Johnsons will fit right in since they share their same affinity for elf culture. Emily, Jared, and the rest of the holiday crew quickly realize that the Johnsons aren't interested in joining in on the fun--they plan to take over. Image:  Tw

Join Hallmark Christmas Movie Magic Facebook Group!

Facebook is saturated with groups you can join to discuss your favorite Hallmark Christmas movies, so how do you know which one is right for you?

Let's remove the guesswork:  Hallmark Christmas Movie Magic is the best one.  Here's why.

Quality Facebook Posts

You are a busy person, so when you check your Facebook feed, you don't want to be overwhelmed by a million meaningless posts like these:
  • I miss Christmas movies 24/7.
  • Thanks for the add!
  • I'm watching (name of movie) right now.
Yawn.

If your first thought is "Who cares?" when you read a post, then your time has been wasted.  Hallmark Christmas Movie Magic knows your time is too valuable!

In our group, you will find posts with substance.  Here are a few examples of past posts:
  • In Christmas in Rome, Lacey Chabert's character buys cafe lattes at a vendor along with a caffè sospeso, which is the Italian term for "paying it forward" so the next person can enjoy a free cup. Have you ever gone to pay for a meal or drink only to discover someone had "paid it forward" for you?
  • In Write Before Christmas, Jessica says Mrs. Claus shares her name. What show is she referring to that depicts Mrs. Claus as "Jessica?"
  • When couples bake cookies in Hallmark movies, it seems they are always making cut-outs or gingerbread men.  What cookie do you always make every Christmas season?
  • In the Hallmark movie Scavenger Hunt, one of the hunts leads them to a former teacher's home who collects snow globes, which she displays on her mantle.  Do you have a special Christmas collection of some kind?
  • In Two Turtle Doves, ornaments made by Sharon Harper's great-grandfather from seven generations ago continue to be passed down. Are there any Christmas heirlooms your family passes from one generation to the next?
We create a blog post for every new movie premiere (and older movies too) that pulls out themes, observations, wise quotes, and real-life application to find depth in these movies that seem relatively shallow until you do some digging.  All of the movie blog posts are shared in the Hallmark Christmas Movie Magic Facebook group, so you never have to miss one!

Facebook Quizzes & Polls

How close are you paying attention to the Hallmark Christmas movies?  We pull details from several of the flicks and share a quiz in our group, or you can find one in the corresponding blog post.

We create polls so you can share your opinions.  You might vote for your favorite Lacey Chabert movie, your assessment of a couple's chemistry, or your favorite Hallmark leading actor.

We make it fun and easy to participate.

Facebook Contests & Giveaways

We have fun contests and giveaways!  Who doesn't like to win?  There are never any strings attached to participate.

We do make an occasional plug to support our Facebook group and its sister blog by doing your online purchasing through our blog's affiliate links so we can use some of the commission money to fund more contests.  We are currently an affiliate of Amazon, Rakuten, and ShareASale, and Google ads are shown on our blog site as well.  You simply click on the affiliate link, such as Amazon, and then shop as you normally would (you do NOT need to buy the item from the link).  Clicking the Google ads also helps, even if you aren't interested in making a purchase.

Contest prizes are something Hallmark related, like Christmas books or DVD's to add to your collection.

Fun Facts About Your Favorite Hallmark Stars

How do they stay so fit?  Where have you seen them before?  Are they married or single (i.e., do we still have a chance)?

What are they saying on Twitter?

We share fun facts about your favorite Hallmark leading actors to help you know more about them.

Where Can I Buy That?

Many novels have become Hallmark movies, and vice versa.  If we've read the book, we will share our review.  With so many cute Hallmark Christmas movie books, DVD's, blankets, cups, and apparel, we help connect you to products you will love.

Hallmark Christmas Movie Magic Is A Positive Place

We quickly root out spammers, but we welcome individuals, business pages, content writers, and bloggers who contribute Hallmark Christmas movie-related posts.  This is vastly different from some Hallmark Christmas groups with control freak admins who are too self-promoting to allow anyone else in the niche.

We also allow group sharing, if you seek permission first (to protect our members from inappropriate content), because we are interested in helping others achieve success, too.

We do NOT have a million rules to follow, like so many groups do!

We all have our religious beliefs and political views, but we do not express them in this group.  We keep the focus on Hallmark Christmas movies, understanding there are Facebook groups to join for those who seek community with others of similar faiths and politics.

Outside of our Hallmark Christmas Movie Magic Facebook group, you might be ridiculed for loving Christmas 365 days a year and watching Christmas movies out-of-season, but our group is a safe and private place where you can be proud to keep the Christmas spirit alive all year.
